BEYOND SCHOOL - JUNIOR YEAR
Snow Road Trip
For spring break during my junior year, I went on a ski road trip with some of my favorite people and travelled to multiple ski resorts in Montana and Idaho over the course of a week. These guys are all really good skiers, and when I first started snowboarding (in high school) it was always my dream to be able to keep up with them someday. In a way, this ski trip represents the progress that I've made as a snowboarder, because I started to truly feel confident in my abilities and faced some of the most challenging terrain so far while having the time of my life! Whether I was flying down steep groomers or heading off-piste to search for untouched snow among the trees and cliffs, I was living the dream that I had only imagined years before. This trip was especially significant, because for the first time I no longer felt like I was dragging behind everyone else, and I didn't feel limited by where I could go.
